Jack Tunney announces due to Shawn Michaels missing a number of scheduled title defenses, he is going to be stripped of the Intercontinental Championship. There will be a 20 man battle royal to determine the two top contenders. Jack Tunney had the charisma of an eggplant.

Tatanka vs. Rick Martel

This one has lots of stalling to start. For some reason these guys only had so-so chemistry and yet they still just kept sticking them in the ring with each other. Tatanka tried to jump on the ropes, but slipped and still tried the crossbody, but Martel ducks. Martel puts him in the abdominal stretch, but Tatanka eventually counters with a hip toss. Tatanka makes his comeback and hits a top rope chop. Martel is able to toss Tatanka over the top rope, but then Tatanka pulls him under the ropes. They start brawling and they both men are counted out as a result. This was a snoozer with a bad ending.

Match Rating: *1/2 (out of 5)

Joe Fowler announces the list of participants in the battle royal. They include such legends as Giant Gonzalez, MVP and Bastion Booger. Kidding aside, this actually does have a good group of performers.

Ludvig Borga vs. Phil Apollo

Borga just comes in and pushes Apollo into the corner. He hits one of the uglier looking spinebusters I have seen. Arn Anderson, he is not. After some more boring offense, he puts him in the Torture Rack for the victory. This just shows how great Marty Jannetty is because his match at SummerSlam was so much better.

Match Rating: 1/4*

Jimmy Snuka vs. Paul Van Dale

Snuka's pop is actually pretty small. After watching this match, it's easy to see why he wasn't under contract. Snuka is just crawling here and nobody seems to care. Snuka finally hits the splash to put me out of my misery.

Match Rating: 1/4*

They show what happened last week with IRS losing and then go to him at his office. Vince for some reason calls him Mr. Rotunda. He later corrects himself and calls him Mr. Schyster.

WWF Tag Team Championship Match
The Quebecers vs. Barry Horowitz & Reno Riggins 1-2-3 Kid

Barry Horowitz lets us know that Reno Riggins is home sick and he picks a substitute after the Quebecers have a meeting about it. They laugh about Kid being his partner and he gets less of an ovation than I expected. The unlikely pairing get in some dropkicks before the Quebecers take control. The Quebecers hit some nice double team moves on Kid including dumping him on the top rope. Kid hits a spin kick and knocks Jacques out of the ring. They bring down a stretcher and start wheeling him away. Fink gets on the mic and announces that the match must continue. Pierre continues their momentum while hitting a couple of moves off the second rope. He body slams Horowitz on purpose into his own corner and he tags in Kid. Kid tries to make a comeback, but then Pierre ducks a kick and Kid falls to the floor. Johnny Polo puts him back in the ring and Pierre gets the victory. I have to say, that wasn't what I was expecting there. This wasn't necessarily a great match, but it was entertaining.

Match Rating: **1/4

Razor Ramon is here to talk about the battle royal "next week". He tells IRS that he's easy to find. Outside of the Quebecers, the majority of this was really boring. Snuka looked really washed up here and Borga is just awful. The Quebecers and 1-2-3 Kid are bright spots here so far in the fall of '93.

Overall Rating: 43%
