Steiner Brothers vs. Mike Khoury & Reno Riggins

Scott does what he does best, which is suplex people and make it look like it hurts really badly. Rick toys around with Riggins before going back to Scott again. Scott hits a Steiner Screwdriver and then sort of hits the Frankensteiner for the victory. This was a little slower than we are accustomed to from a Steiner squash.

Match Rating: 1/4*

Jeff Jarrett gets yet another vignette and it's him getting kicked out of a record company office.

Diesel vs. Razor Ramon

Diesel manhandles Razor for most of the beginning of the match. He hits a side suplex and gets a 2 count. Razor tries to make a comeback and runs into a big boot and gets hit with Snake Eyes. Razor does end up fighting back and hits a leaping bulldog from the second rope. Razor signals for the Razor's Edge, but in runs Shawn Michaels and he hits Sweet Chin Music. Diesel is obviously disqualified and then Michaels goes for a piledriver on the Intercontinental Championship, but 1-2-3 Kid saves the day. The match was pretty good given the time constraints, as they played to their strengths.

Match Rating: *3/4

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. John Crystal

Bam Bam tosses around Crystal to begin with and the crowd is chanting for Doink. I liked his Irish whip here, which sent Crystal under the ropes. Bam Bam hits the kick to the back of the head and that is all. This was to help Bam Bam re-build himself after the embarrassment of Survivor Series 1993.

Match Rating: 1/4*

They show clips of Doink debuting Dink.

When we come back, Vince is in the ring with the Superstar of the Year trophy. Vince emphasizes that voting was very close. He brings out the runner-up, Lex Luger and he announces Bret Hart as the winner. Bret goes on and on about all of the people he dedicates this award to. What kind of a trophy presentation doesn't end with it getting smashed?

After commercial they show clips of the Hart Family match from Survivor Series.

Owen Hart vs. Chris Duffy

Owen is wearing his new singlet and Bret's glasses. Duffy attacks Owen as he comes in to the ring, but Owen hits some hip tosses. The crowd chants "We want Bret" during the match. Meanwhile, Owen launches himself over the top rope to Duffy on the floor and follows it up with a missile dropkick. Owen then locks in the Sharpshooter for the victory. This is a great start to the heel Owen Hart.

Match Rating: 1/4*

After the match, Bobby Heenan gets up and wants to interview Owen. Bobby tries to instigate, but Owen isn't having any of it and walks away.

Ludvig Borga vs. Scott Taylor

Borga attacks Taylor upon entering into the ring and we're underway. Taylor tries to knock Borga down, but Borga hits a big clothesline. Borga puts him in the Torture Rack and that's all. Yeah, no more of Borga please.

Match Rating: 1/4*

They interview Razor and 1-2-3 Kid backstage. Kid says that he's going to give Shawn Michaels 100% next week in their match. Next week we will get Doink, Crush and the aforementioned Shawn vs. Kid match.

I wasn't really feeling this episode. Coming off a disappointing pay-per-view, they didn't really go all out and outside of the Owen/Bret story, they don't have a whole lot going for them here. The Razor/Diesel match was solid for what it was, but that was about it.

Overall Rating: 42%
