Henry Godwinn vs. Undertaker

We have a rare Taker feature match here on Superstars. After a long for Superstars entrance by Undertaker, Vince says Paul Bearer has gained weight and makes fun of his chin. It's kind of surprising that they're putting Godwinn in this match already. After reversing an Irish whip, Godwinn hits an aggressive elbow in the corner, but Taker no sells it and hits the leaping clothesline. That was probably a run-on sentence. Taker hits Old School, but then misses with an elbow drop. Godwinn clotheslines him to the floor and then rams Undertaker's head into the top turnbuckle. Honestly, Godwinn looks pretty good here and I'm surprised they didn't do a lot more with him earlier in his run. Taker claps his way out of a bear hug, but Godwinn comes back with a body slam. Godwinn hits a couple of elbow drops for a 2 count. Taker makes a comeback and goes for the Tombstone, but Godwinn escapes and hits a clothesline. Godwinn misses with a clothesline and eats a chokeslam, which is enough to pick up the victory. Godwinn looked really good here even if the finish was lame. This was about the best Undertaker match I can remember in some time.

Match Rating: **3/4

We go to Stephanie Wiand, who is talking about Bob Backlund. Backlund cuts a promo with his usual nonsense.

Mantaur vs. Gary Scott

So we're still doing this. He hits a bunch of unimpressive moves and picks up the victory. That's all I've got.

Match Rating: 1/4*

We get a Bam Bam Bigelow/Lawrence Taylor recap. We will get a response from LT on Raw.

Bushwhackers vs. Adam Croom & Reno Riggins

Rest in peace, cousin Butch. This is exactly what you would expect in 1995, but instead of the Battering Ram, they hit a double gutbuster for the victory. Vince talks about Hongi. Just another day in paradise.

Match Rating: 1/4*

Man Mountain Rock will make his debut next week.

King Kong Bundy vs. Bill Weaver

Well Bundy squashes Mr. Weaver here very quickly. He looks like he was getting heckled by some kids. That's about all I can say here.

Match Rating: 1/4*

We go to Shawn Michaels in the Heartbreak Hotel. He talks about his search for a bodyguard before introducing his guest, Diesel. It's a cardboard cutout. He naturally insults him, before saying that he'll walk out of WrestleMania with Pamela Anderson as the WWF Champion.

Duke Droese vs. Brooklyn Brawler

Two guys that don't mind getting their hands dirty. Meanwhile, Lawler makes some Asian stereotype jokes regarding Bret Hart and Hakushi. Droese hits the Trash Compactor for the victory. Thrilling.

Match Rating: 1/4*

We're getting Adam Bomb vs. Shawn Michaels next week on Superstars.

Jacob & Eli Blu vs. Butch Long & Jason Ahrndt

The Blus show a little frustration early on and Uncle Zebekiah puts them in their place. They hit a few big man double teams and that's enough for the victory. Has anyone had a more successful unimportant lengthy run in WWF than the Harris twins?

Match Rating: 1/4*

We go back to Stephanie Wiand so that we can hear from both Michaels and Adam Bomb.

We then get some video footage from Wrestling Challenge of Bomb and Michaels arguing in the hallway.

Well, the opener was way better than I had expected. The rest is exactly what I expected. This one is better than most Superstars, but not by some wide margin.

Overall Rating: 45%
